Class Facilitations
This page is a collection of favorite presentations I've done, from most recent to oldest.
WGS 485
America, Goddam was a heavy book, all about the mistreatment of Black women and Girls in America. I think this presentation was great because it garnered good class discussion and I they #SayHerName was very important aspect of this book. In collaboration with Edinna and Ariana!
WGS 474
I especially liked this presentation because in this class, Don showed us a method to help unpack heavy readings the day before. We decided to use this method to have a class discussion instead of just a question-answer discussion. We chose 3 main topics for each article, and the class was split into those groups. The bullet points are what they came up with. In collaboration with Meryl and Monica!
WGS 385
We chose to research this topic because after the pandemic lockdown, I felt that a lot of people romanticized South Korea and didn't take in account for the issues Korean Women deal with, so this project was to highlight those issues. In collaboration with Jackie!
ENG 100
This unit was about the male gaze in music videos. Even though music is an expression of someone, a lot of music videos and lyrics are derogatory towards women and paint them as sexual objects only. I decided to add this one because it was a presentation before I really thought about WGS in an academic sense, and it's cool to see that I already had some critiquing skills in regards. In collaboration with Bryan!
